The intention was that I would get a job to make enough money to pay for my education.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Bill Hnatyshyn got me a very good job at STELCO. Not only\u00a0 did it pay extremely well, I got to operate tractors that could lift and rotate\u00a0 25-60 ton coils of steel and overhead cranes that lift 25-200 tons.\u00a0 STELCO employed 50,000 people then \u2013 10,000 worked in our mill.\u00a0\u00a0 It was a lot of noise and commotion for a Ukrainian boy from Shellmouth to adjust to\u00a0 &#8212; actually it was a snap and great adventure.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Because of Phil, Elsie, and Bill I was able to get an excellent education in Industrial Management. It was the foundation for an\u00a0 an exciting work life and prosperity for our family.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">I know there are many other examples of family members helping others move away and create a successful life for them and their families.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Story from Steve Petz.
